'Ireland's Waters - an Untapped Resource' is this year's Association of Irish Regions conference theme. The event will examine the use to which the natural and economic assets of our rivers, lakes, waterways, coastal areas and the marine are or are not being put; the potential these resources offer; and what can be done through research, long-term planning and investment to optimise development in a sustainably managed manner.
