Conference on local climate protection: 1-4 April, Aachen & Heerlen
Local politicians and experts from across Europe will meet at the International Annual Conference of the Climate Alliance to address the cross-border significance of the local level in combating climate change. The occasion will also demand stronger political and financial support at European and national level to enable local authorities to establish climate protection goals and implement associated strategies. Workshops dealing with the applied implementation of climate protection measures will be offered on the following topics: climate protection and local economy; adaptation to climate change; retrofitting of existing buildings; energy efficient public procurement; energy alternatives in transport; and energy bridges between North and South.
