FP7 ICT- Digital libraries and Mobility Concepts (pre-announcement)
The Commission is expected to launch the sixth call of FP7 Cooperation’s Information & Communications Technologies theme on 24 November. Areas covered will include: Digital libraries and digital preservation (Scalable systems and services for preserving digital content; Advanced preservation scenarios; Innovative solutions for assembling multimedia digital libraries; Adaptive cultural experiences; Interdisciplinary research networks; Promoting the uptake of EC-funded research); and ICT for Mobility of the Future (Field Operational Tests for Integrated Safety Systems and Co-operative Systems; and ICT-based systems and services for Smart Urban Mobility and new Mobility Concepts).
Other areas include Cognitive Systems and Robotics; Virtual physiological human; Future Emerging Technologies; and Horizontal Support Actions.
Applications may relate variously to 'small or medium-scale focused research actions' (STREP),
'large-scale integrating projects' (IP); ‘Networks of Excellence’ (NoE); or ‘Coordination and support actions’ (CSA)
Budget: EUR286 million.
