Call: Third Country Nationals and Refugees
The separate 2009 Calls for applications to the European Integration Fund (EIF) and European Refugee Fund (ERF) have been launched. EIF supports efforts made in enabling third-country nationals of different economic, social, cultural, religious, linguistic and ethnic backgrounds to fulfill the conditions of residence and to facilitate their integration into society. ERF supports and encourages the efforts made by the Member States in the reception of refugees, asylum seekers and displaced persons.
Local Authorities, Urban Partnerships and Integrated Local Development Companies are eligible for support as are Community & Voluntary and NGO organisations. These funds are administered in Ireland by Pobal on behalf of the Office of the Minister for Integration (OMI). Regional information sessions on the two calls will be held in the new year:
- 11 January, Kilkenny
- 13 January, Dublin
- 14 January, Sligo
- 19 January, Limerick.
