In early 2010 we aim to publish a compendium of Irish local & regional authorities activities in EU-funded projects in re ent years.
INTRODUCTION
The IRO has a role in identifying EU funding opportunities for local and regional authorities. The IRO is available to assist regions in putting together project proposals and bids for funding under EU programmes. In this regard it liaises with the relevant EC officials in pre-screening bids and with other regional offices for attracting project partners. It continues to work to highlight the benefits to local and regional authorities of being involved in EU funded programmes.
